It is a unique and emotional experience for both parents. While the idea of childbirth can sometimes feel frightening or cause anxiety, with the right preparation and support from your obstetrician and midwife, it can become a truly unforgettable and positive experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-9ae23145 gb-headline-text\">What is Normal Vaginal Delivery?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A normal (vaginal) delivery typically begins naturally between the <strong>37th and 41st week<\/strong> of pregnancy. The process happens in three stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dilation Stage<\/strong> \u2014 The cervix opens (dilates) to allow the baby to pass through.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Expulsion Stage<\/strong> \u2014 The baby moves down the birth canal and is born.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Afterbirth Stage<\/strong> \u2014 The placenta is delivered.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The length of labor varies for each woman.
